"I think my record speaks for itself"

So this Latina is suing the Miss California pageant for discrimination. Christina Silva was the initial winner, but for some reason that I have totally forgotten and am too lazy to find out, she was uncrowned and another contestant, Raquel Beezley (pictured at left), was given the title.

Now she is suing for discrmination because she believes that the pageant director, Keith Lewis, was uncomfortable with her chica-ness. His response:

I've had three winners since I've been a director," Lewis said. "Two have been
African American, two of four in the history of the state pageant. And the current Miss California USA is 25 percent Filipino," Lewis said, referring to Beezley. "I think my record speaks for itself."
Ms. Beezley is soooooo Filipina, that she has competed in Miss Asia Pacific International. Hmph. But back to Mr. Lewis: so wow....four Black women have won the title in the pageant's entire 84-year history. And the current titleholder's one parent is half filipino. WOW. You could push me over with your diversity feather. Indeed your record speaks for itself and it's saying, "Keith Lewis is a tool."
