Because check-ups and mammograms are expensive, elective procedures

The Straight Talk express choo-chooed its way into Cleveland yesterday and had a layover at the "non-profit" Cleveland Clinic. McCain talked about his plan for healthcare to hundreds of common folk in a townhall setting. (Meanwhile in DemLand the in-fighting raged on)

So his plan is to fix how we pay for healthcare, not how we do it. And McCain thinks tax breaks for people/families who pay out of pocket for their insurance is a good idea. He doesn't really have a plan per se....like specific details, you know....about....um...what do to with the, uh....uninsured, but rest assured he will work with each governor to come up with a plan to address those people who don't have the money to treat their healthcare like the free, open market.

He thinks prevention like promoting gym memberships is a good idea. He think rich old people should pay for their own prescriptions. But those poor old people? Oh yeah, plan. coming soon. after we vote for him. right. got it.

McCain seemed to be impressed with the fancy intranets that the Clinic staff uses. Because technology is a good thing.

Great. That whole stump stop wasn't a big plate of vague salad at all.
