It takes a white woman to make sense of my frustration

"all black people are on a boat trying to get to this place called equality. And every time you turn around there are pirates (stupid white people with stupid comments) trying to sink the boat…and that’s fine to get mad about that, but what about the people in your own boat that are poking holes in the hull. The water is raising because of BOTH and stopping one isn’t going to solve the problem—the problem will still exist and probably be more persistent if you don’t shore up your own crew first. "
