I received the following email notice today from my neighborhood ACLU:
June Events Postponed
In recognition of the Cavaliers' first ever appearance in the NBA finals, we have postponed the ACLU events scheduled over the next two weeks. “Crack Time v. Cocaine Time,” currently scheduled for this Thursday, June 7, as well as “Police Matters” which is scheduled for next Tuesday, June 12 will be rescheduled for this fall. Information on the new dates will be out soon. We thank you for your flexibility.

Just to clarify, it is not our wish to cancel these events due to sports but unfortunately we have tried to hold events in the past on days of big Ohio team sporting events and no one showed up. We decided to postpone these events in the hopes of reaching a larger audience in the fall, not so that our staff can sit around and watch the games.
